What’s Hot and What’s Not
This edition attempts to give all members a fuller understanding of the aims of the Nudgee College Old Boys’ Association, the issues the continuance of which it sees as essential to the maintenance of our heritage. However, we must also probe for initiatives we see as essential to continued growth – a growth that aligns to the changing conditions in which we now live. From all of this we seek feedback and ask each member to consider what he can do to grow the effectiveness of our association.
Our association needs more active members to become part of our Executive. We need that increased membership to reflect the demographic spread of our members. Membership is not demanding. As the first step towards achieving this we need a good attendance at the Annual General Meeting on March 19th in Ryan Hall at the College at 7.30 pm.
Administrative plans are afoot to rationalise the frequency of meetings, the necessity of all members to attend all meetings, but rather for small groups and individuals to assume responsibility for specific areas of our activities eg reunions, appeals, special functions such as Annual Dinner, Regional gatherings, the Memorial Mass etc. So what about it. We really need you. Frankly some of us are getting too old for what has gradually become a younger population association.
