Jack Ross Bursary Fellowship

Help us continue the Legacy of Edmund Rice

The Nudgee College Old Boys’ Association (NCOBA) and St Joseph’s Nudgee College have established the Jack Ross Bursary Fellowship. In the Edmund Rice tradition, the Fellowship’s sole objective is to provide a bursary to students, whose parents could not otherwise afford to send their sons to Nudgee. I am honoured to announce that Br Vince Connors has been appointed as the Patron of the Jack Ross Bursary Fellowship.
The John Elliot (Jack) Ross Bursary Trust, which the Fellowship fosters, is a tax deductable fund from which dispersals are governed by a committee to ensure that bursaries are awarded in accordance with the criteria outlined in its Trust Deed. That is, to cover educational expenses based on equity or merit. Since the NCOBA represents 50% of the committee, Old Boys have a unique opportunity to influence Nudgee from the grass roots through selecting worthy recipients of the bursaries. Maybe we can find the next Jack Ross?
There are already a handful of boys in receipt of Jack Ross Bursaries from the program but we require much broader support from our members to realise the full potential of the Fellowship. The NCOBA are the stewards of the Jack Ross Bursary Fellowship and are determined to build a vibrant community in pursuit of its Edmund Rice ideals in honour of Jack Ross. Contributions are welcome at all levels and will be recognised with exclusive privileges. Full details of the Fellowship program, and biographies on Jack Ross and Br Vince Connors, are available on the link below.
Nudgee Old Boys and Nudgee families have and are still benefitting from the privilege of their Nudgee experience. You are all invited and urged to join us and other members of the Nudgee Community in Fellowship as we change young lives through the gift of a Nudgee education. The Pledge Form link below outlines some of the basic options for Fellowship. As indicated in the Prospectus, there are additional provisions for group entities if preferred and alternative payment methods are also available. For more information please contact the Fellowship Support Team as listed on the back page of the Prospectus.
