President's Message

President Dr Simon Carter's address to the Annual General Meeting

Gentlemen, it is with great pride and humility I stand here as your new President.

I do so full in the knowledge of what has brought us to where we are now and  what is required to take us where we need to go.

I would like to reflect for a moment on some of the key influences that I see as relevant from our past.
For the last 88 years many great men have guided this Association to become a solid support for the Old Boys of Nudgee College. This is and will always be the primary role of your Association - to provide assistance and support for Old Boys and to help other Old Boys to do the same. It is our secondary role to assist in the support of the College and its interests.

President's Message - November 2009

by Tony Behm (1961-64) - President

To say that the first half of 2009 has been tumultuous would be an understatement. But fortunately for us, there is one constant in our lives which is that we belong to the Nudgee College Old Boys’ Association. In times of trouble, as we saw clearly with the Melbourne bushfires, the floods in North Queensland and the recent catastrophes in Samoa and Indonesia, Australians do rally to the cause extremely well and help others in hardship.

President's Message - 2009 Annual Report

by Tony Behm (1961-64) - President

My 2009 Annual Report will cover the year’s activities and as I mentioned in my Annual Report last year we faced challenges for the future. These have not gone away and hopefully this year we can meet those challenges and ensure that our association remains strong and vibrant into the future.

During the past year we have had some very successful reunions. We had a Diamond Jubilee Reunion at the College fittingly on Assumption Day and there were class reunions from 45 through to 50 years and all were well attended. There are 10 reunions planned for this year from 0ne year to 60 years reunions.
