Queensland Bulls opener, Brendan Nash is another Nudgee cricketer on his way to international success. He came to Nudgee from Cairns as a 15 year old. He played for Nudgee, Norths and Queensland under aged teams and gradually honed his cricketing skills until now when he is on the brink of international recognition. Named the Man of the Match in the Pura Cup game against New South Wales after scoring 176 and 81 not out, the 24 year old left handed batsman is performing strongly with the Queensland Bulls. His smart footwork and committed mental approach to the game will ensure that Brendan continues to impress selectors and assure him of an even more promising career at the crease. Brendans parents are Jamaican and obviously have passed on their athletic abilities to their son. His father, Paul was an Olympic swimmer at Mexico City in 1968 and his mother Andrea was a talented dancer. All at Nudgee wish Brendan well and hope that he continues to bring credit on himself in his chosen sport. |
