The Annual Memorial Mass is always a highlight of the NCOBA year. Well attended as always, this year’s Mass was noteworthy because of the large number of young family members attending. An emerging feature of this annual event is the growing number of class groups who gather to remember old classmates. The Annual Dinner, held in Ryan Hall was as always an outstanding success. Notwithstanding organizers concern that the response would be down, the usual Nudgee Spirit, coupled with a traditional reluctance to appreciate the importance of RSVP information ensured a full house attendance. This evening was well catered for through the magic of our College caterer.
Exceptional success marked the traditional class reunions which are held every year. The full range of 5Yr, 10yr, 20Yr, 25Yr, 30Yr, 40Yr, 50Yr and 60Yr gatherings attracted record numbers to a range of functions. In addition, regional reunions were held on the Sunshine Coast, Dalby and Rockhampton. Our association is in a healthy state when we can attract almost 1,000 old boys to each year’s full range of reunions.
