Rev Fr Matthew (Mole) Moloney, (1978-85) sent this information from Rockhampton… I have just heard that the son of Coremac Fanning, (1984-85) has had a fall off a horse and is in ICU in the RBH. He has been in a coma for 5 days and is gravely ill. Please keep him and his son in your thoughts and prayers. His son Lachlan is 10. It is great to hear of the gathering in a couple of weeks. I am trying to see my way to be able to get away for the afternoon. It is a little difficult. I have weekend Mass commitments in the parish so may not be able to gather with you all. I will be down in Brisbane to celebrate a school Mass on Ross Oval on the 15th of August (Monday of Ekka Week). I’m sure if old boys from '85 would like to come along, they would be most welcome. For those who do
not know, I was ordained a priest for the Rocky Diocese last year on
the 11-11-04. Surprised, well yes it surprised me too. The last old
boy ordained was over 25 years ago. For anyone else I hope the Terrace/NC day goes well, I might see you there. Editor's Note: An account of Matthew’s ordination was posted on the December 2004 website. The Nudgee v Terrace match was a good one and should silence all those who thought the sky would fall because of a poor trot with Rugby in 2004. We did a few other good things in 2004 – after all we achieved one of the best OP and QCS results in our history which is really why a Catholic educational establishment was ‘built on the mound’ at Nudgee.
