Sub Branches for the NCOBA.

Having reached agreement with the College that the establishment of sub branches of the NCOBA in various regions within the state and interstate would be a practical way to strengthen our organization, moves to establish sub branches in the Sunshine Coast area have begun.

In doing this we hope to develop an approach which can, in 2008, be employed to establish further sub branches in the Gold Coast and Mt Isa regions. If this is a success we will be ready to make 2009 the year of establishing as many sub branches as possible.

A clear joint statement, under the signatures of our President and the College Principal has been prepared describing our plans for the Sunshine Coast. This statement will be mailed to all Old Boys in that area inviting them to participate in the formation of sub branches. They are being provided with lists of other Old Boys in their particular area and together with parents of current and future Nudgee students they will also be invited to the gathering/s planned in their locality.

From this gathering, A 'Steering Committee' will be formed to determine the working arrangements and aims of their local sub branch/es. Members of the Executive of NCOBA will attend this gathering and assist in its formation. A separate website portal will be established for communications unique to this sub branch.

A mailing of this material, together with particulars of the date, venue etc of the gathering/s planned will be mailed out before the end of July.
